Daisy Aschehoug is an award-winning quilter, pattern designer, and artist whose designs reflect a passion for curved piecing. Her work has been featured in numerous magazines, the book Modern Quilts: Designs of the New Century,  and she is the co-author of the book Quilt Modern Curves & Bold Stripes.  In 2022 she was one of the teachers at Quiltcon.

Workshop Giant Nested Curves

Combine different sized curves with improv piecing to create your own unique improv masterpiece! Daisy will cover basic design principles as we discuss various options for piecing the improv slabs, as well as tips for using large and small templates (paper of acrylic) to create the curves. Giant nested curves are a great project for scraps, project off-cuts, leftover blocks, or that fat quarter stack that you’ve been waiting to cut into.

The workshop will leave you confident of your curved piecing skills and with enough blocks to make a quilt!

A one-day workshop costs €125 and includes coffee/tea and a two-course  lunch.

Daisy will bring acrylic templates and Rianne Nota from Nannocreative will be present with her shop during the two workshops.
